Richard A. Bruder
Prior to joining Graue Mill Partners, Mr. Bruder had most recently been a founding partner of JB Partners, LLC., a private equity investment partnership, focused on creating long-term capital appreciation through participatory ownership by management. Many of JB's investments concentrated in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries, with an overall theme of creating business environments that would motivate entrepreneurial executives, partners, and staff. Additionally, Mr. Bruder was the managing partner of Chicago Capital LLC, the investment and funding arm of a proprietary futures, index, and stock arbitrage firm based in New York. Chicago Capital, established in 2000, initially funded Intrade LLC, and provided strategic planning to the successful launch and operation of what became, and continues to be, a key firm in the derivative markets.
Prior to establishing JB Partners LLC and Chicago Capital, Mr. Bruder spent 21 years as a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and 18 years as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade. At the CBOE, Mr. Bruder was a long-standing member of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and numerous standing committees. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the National Stock Exchange (NSX), formerly known as the Cincinnati Stock Exchange. He currently serves as a public member of the Business Conduct Committee of the CBOE.
Mr. Bruder is a past Chairman of the Board and CEO of the USO of Illinois, and currently serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee . He was also the Finance Chairman for the 2009 Congressional Medal of Honor Convention. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ride 2 Recovery (www.ride2recovery..com), and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of numerous other philanthropic organizations.
