Richard A. Bruder
Prior to joining Graue Mill Partners, Mr. Bruder had most recently been a founding partner of JB Partners, LLC., a private equity investment partnership, focused on creating long-term capital appreciation through participatory ownership by management. Many of JB's investments concentrated in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries, with an overall theme of creating business environments that would motivate entrepreneurial executives, partners, and staff. Additionally, Mr. Bruder is the managing partner of Chicago Capital LLC, the investment and funding arm of a proprietary futures, index, and stock arbitrage firm based in New York. Chicago Capital, established in 2000, initially funded Intrade LLC, and provided strategic planning to the successful launch and operation of what has become a key player in the derivative markets.
Prior to establishing JB Partners LLC and Chicago Capital, Mr. Bruder spent 19 years as a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and 16 years as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade. At the CBOE, Mr. Bruder was a long-standing member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. For many years, he chaired the Finance Committee of the CBOE, which was responsible for development oversight of the $100MM+ budget of the Exchange. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the National Stock Exchange (NSX), formerly known as the Cincinnati Stock Exchange.
Mr. Bruder is the immediate past Chairman of the Board and CEO of the USO of Illinois, and currently serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee
. He is a member of The Hundred Club of
Chicago. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of numerous other philanthropic organizations.
Mr. Bruder currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hinsdale Bank & Trust, a subsidiary of Wintrust Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:WTFC), Dwyer Kitchens, Inc., a single source supplier for a complete line of compace kitchens, and Tricom Funding, Inc., a premier provider of payroll, administrative and funding services. Additionally, he is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Mr. Bruder received a B.A. from the University of Southern California. He also attended the Doctoral Studies program at the University of Delaware. |
