Gregory W. Wilson
Gregg is the Managing Member and founder of Maxim Partners, LLC which is a private equity investment firm founded in 1991 to partner with management teams seeking to aggressively capture larger shares of growing markets. To these partnerships, Maxim brings efficient, growth-oriented capital solutions, hands on strategic and financial insight, and extensive industry contacts and knowledge that enable owner/managers to retain control of achieving their vision. Maxim targets growing companies in the wellness, education, environmental services, and progressive energy sectors.

Gregg draws on over 20 years of private equity experience including over 9 years as a partner with CIVC Partners, a Chicago-based investment firm which manages over $1 billion of capital from Bank of America and other institutional investors. Gregg began his career at Continental Bank (purchased by Bank of America in 1994), followed by Citicorp Leveraged Capital, where he led numerous middle-market buyout financings. In 1988 he moved into private equity with Trivest, Inc. and then joined the founder of Trivest in forming Ridge Capital Corp., prior to establishing Maxim Partners.

Gregg received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with high distinction from Indiana University, where he was a member of the School of Business Honors Program, and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. He currently serves as a member of the Kelley School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council where he is Chair of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee. Gregg also is a member of the Investment Committee of Chase Capital Corporation, a unit of JP Morgan Chase which invests mezzanine debt and equity into middle market companies. He resides in Hinsdale, Illinois with his wife and two daughters.
