David Kidd
David Kidd launched Adirondack Growth Capital, LLC in early 2009, following nearly eight years of professional experience with organizations including Lincoln International (formerly Lincoln Partners), A.T. Kearney, and RAE Systems. Most recently, at Lincoln International he managed deal teams, led acquisition transactions, and sourced new business opportunities involving companies that were similar in size to those businesses Adirondack plans to target for acquisition. David has been involved in 26 closed transactions since late 2004, ranging from $2 to $110 million in enterprise value. David has worked closely with owners and entrepreneurs at more than a dozen private companies, has been involved in the sale of their businesses, and has extensive experience with transaction issues and dynamics related to private business owners.
At A.T. Kearney, David was a member of the firm’s Strategy Practice and for over a year and a half focused on a productivity improvement assignment for Omnicare, the nation’s largest institutional pharmacy. While working with Omnicare, David traveled extensively throughout the United States to assess and implement best practices at individual pharmacy units, the majority of which had been acquired by Omnicare. David also performed strategy related assignments for BMW, HMSHost, Gillette, and Coca-Cola Fountain. He was promoted twice in a three-year period while at A.T. Kearney.
At RAE Systems, a small publicly traded homeland defense sensor business located in Sunnyvale, California, David was a business development and corporate finance analyst. At RAE he assessed the overseas shipping market, developed a business case and financial model for a new product.
At Adirondack, David plans to identify and source targeted companies in the business services sector for acquisition, conducting all phases of the investment transaction, from due diligence, to negotiation of terms, optimizing the capital structure and ultimately to managing the business. He expects to leverage the positive track record of GMP, as well as the extensive deal experience and investor networks of its partners as additional bandwidth to both source and actively oversee these investments.
David graduated with a Master in Business Administration from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. At Stanford, David was Co-President of the Futurists Club, a member of the Entrepreneurship Club, a board fellow with the Positive Coaching Alliance, and a member of the rugby team. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (he passed the CPA exam in 1999) and a minor in Technology Management at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was a James Scholar. He graduated with Highest Honors and was awarded Bronze Tablet Distinction (top three percent).
