Graue Mill Partners, LLC ("GMP") is a private equity investor which assists owner-operators of middle-market businesses plan and fund investments in their companies. We focus on companies which are facing changed circumstances due to divergent shareholder interests, operational and/or financial strains or neglected/non-strategic business units. These companies typically can benefit from more active growth management, restructuring and/or re-capitalization. GMP forms close partnerships with these owner-operators to develop strategy, build management teams, execute business plans and establish the proper capital structure for both internal and acquisition related growth. Our style is highly participatory and results oriented, focused on value creation through the development and successful implementation of company-specific strategic plans to achieve (1) defined growth and valuation targets and (2) shareholder liquidity events.

GMP is a partnership of seasoned operating and investment executives who have built successful businesses and generated significant financial returns in a number of industry sectors. Areas of common focus for GMP and its owner-operator partners include supplementing the management structure -- often with GMP partners for interim periods, leading the strategic development process (including acquisitions) so that management can focus on the core business -- and reviewing actively the individual business models and relevant industry dynamics to ensure proper positioning of portfolio companies for profitable growth and value enhancement. Importantly, GMP brings the necessary relationships and wherewithal to secure the proper capital resources for its portfolio companies, ensuring that business and investment strategies can be executed as planned.

Through its Advisory Board, which is comprised of a select group of accomplished, committed individuals, GMP leverages its ability to originate, create and manage attractive investments in privately held businesses. The advisory board actively assists the firm in sourcing and evaluating prospective investments.

When growth falters or unexpected market conditions are encountered, companies may face temporary financial or strategic challenges, requiring additional management resources on an interim basis.  GMP offers strategic consulting, turnaround management, and restructuring services through its affiliate, Burnham Venture Management, Ltd. ("Burnham"), led by GMP partner, Ray Anderson.  Recently, Burnham was honored with the prestigious Turnaround of the Year Award by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association investments and, selectively, co-invests in specific transactions.
